Sustainable office space design underway for the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere team

Prospus Group is delighted to have been appointed as architects and planners by Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere for their proposed new sustainable office space.

The new space will be located in the biosphere community of St John’s Town of Dalry, Dumfries and Galloway.

Chair of the biosphere’s partnership board, Melanie Allen, said:

Prospus Group work with multi-sector clients across the UK delivering innovative and environmentally sustainable designs – exactly what our amazing team needs as the biosphere moves into its second decade.

We are very much looking forward to working alongside Prospus Group’s architects with the ongoing support of South of Scotland Enterprise, which has been absolutely key in seeing the office project progress.

The Prospus team will design a low carbon working space that is sympathetic to the local landscape and an asset to the community with the design and planning process already underway.

In 2020, the biosphere was awarded £1.9 million by South of Scotland Enterprise to support the next five years of its work, including the development of the new base.

Alistair Fell, Director at Prospus Group commented:

It is brilliant to be working with an organisation that shares our own values so strongly in terms of creating a positive environmental impact and which is engaging communities across the region with this in mind.

I’m also pleased to see our caseload in Dumfries and Galloway continue to grow as we act for more and more clients in the region on a variety of projects within the sustainable development and clean energy sectors.
