Recent planning success for domestic extentions

Our Planning team has been busy recently and have this week secured planning permission for a couple of domestic extensions.

The Cotswolds
Our team successfully challenged a Local Authority’s refusal to allow the extension of a domestic garage to form additional domestic accommodation.

The winning proposal was designed by our Architecture team and provides a domestic annex in a village in the Cotswolds. Although adjacent to listed buildings, the proposal had no effect upon their setting and was considered acceptable by the Inspector. The Authority’s argument that the proposal was tantamount to a new dwelling was not supported, rather it was shown to be entirely in line with relevant policy and guidance, including the Cotswold Design Guide.

The Chilterns
Planning has also been secured for a new domestic extension in the Chilterns.

Once again Prospus Group’s architects worked on the project and designed stunning front and rear extensions. This included a new car port for a dwelling on the edge of a Buckinghamshire village.

The proposal sailed through the planning system, ticking all boxes along the way, and delighting our clients and their neighbours.
